The process is the point.

Slow fashion is not a marketing position. It's a production commitment. Everything we make costs more to produce than it needs to, because we've decided to do it right.

01
Deadstock and natural fibers only
We source deadstock fabric from overrun bolts, organic linen from Belgian mills, and Japanese cotton from a single supplier we've worked with for six years. No virgin polyester. No synthetic blends.
02
Made in Atlanta, by hand
We have a studio in Ponce City Market and two seamstresses who've been with Maeve since the first collection. Pattern cutting is done in-house. All finishing is done by hand.
03
Made to order, not to stock
We don't have a warehouse. When you order, we make it. This means a 4–6 week window. It also means zero excess production, zero season-end markdowns, and nothing left unsold in a landfill.
04
Free alterations for the life of the garment
Bring it back in five years. Bring it back in twenty. Bodies change. Good clothes accommodate that. Any alteration is free, forever, as long as we made it.
Maeve Callahan: founder and designer of Maeve Studio

Maeve Callahan.

Maeve trained under a couturier in Dublin, spent four years cutting patterns for a ready-to-wear label in Paris, and started Maeve Studio in Atlanta in 2019 with twelve patterns and a rented studio table.

She designs one collection a year. She's said no to three acquisitions. She's not interested in scale as a goal. She's interested in making things that hold up.

What they've said.

Vogue

“The kind of label that makes you rethink every fast fashion purchase you've ever made.”

NYT Style

“Callahan designs like someone who intends to be around for thirty years.”

Monocle

“The case for buying less, better.”

Hypebeast

“Atlanta's quiet, unironic answer to the slow fashion movement.”
