What you're actually hiring for.

No package tiers. No upsells. Tell me what the project needs and I'll tell you what it costs.

Original Production
Full beat-to-master production for artists, labels, and independent releases. I write the music or produce to your demos. Genre-fluid: don't ask what I specialize in.
From $2,400 / track
Mixing
Stereo mixing from stems or session files. I use Neve 1073s, SSL buses, and enough hardware compressors to make the DAW nervous.
$450–$900 / track
Mastering
Analog-informed mastering for streaming, vinyl, and broadcast. You get stem masters included. No separate charge for revisions that matter.
$180–$320 / track
Original Score
Film, documentary, branded content, games. I've done all of them. Deliverable formats for picture lock, ADR, and sync. Licensing handled by my attorney.

Studio atmosphere, Parallel Tone production environment

“Sound is the last thing the audience notices and the first thing they feel.”

Marcus Osei. One studio. No interns.

Marcus Osei: producer and sound designer at Parallel Tone

Marcus Osei started Parallel Tone in 2016 after producing records out of a windowless room in Decatur for three years. The window situation has improved. Everything else stayed the same.

He works on one project at a time. He has a rule about that. It's the only thing he won't negotiate.

The studio runs on Pro Tools, a healthy selection of vintage outboard gear, and a 4-hour no-screen rule after noon on Sundays. He won't tell you what gear he uses until he knows what you're trying to make.

What are you making?

Tell me the project. Tell me the budget. If it's the right fit, I'll respond within 48 hours. I don't take every project. I'm honest when I can't do what you need.

Currently booking Q3 2026.
